A few days ago, China Mobile released the “Technical White Paper on 6G Network Architecture”. The technical paper proposes a “three-body, four-layer, five-side” overall 6G architecture design. It is also the industry’s first systematic version of the 6G network architecture design. At present, 5G has already been commercial in China for no less than three years. At present, the number of 5G mobile phone users exceeds 400 million. According to the law that mobile communication technology is updated every 10 years or so, 6G should be commercialized around 2030.

China Mobile’s “6G Network Architecture Technology White Paper” introduces cross-domain, cross-layer and multi-dimensional 6G network architecture from three angles: spatial view, layered view and functional view through systematic driving force analysis, judgments and notions.

6G network – a new era of high-speed Internet

There is a proposal for the twin design, system design, and networking design of the architecture implementation. This is based on the overall architecture design. In 2019, the world’s first 6G white paper “KeyDrivers and Research Challenges of Ubiquitous 6G Wireless Intelligence” was released. The white paper points out that most 6G performance metrics will be 10 to 100 times better. In the era of 6G, it will be possible to download 10 HD videos of the same type in one second.

In addition, in June last year, the IMT-2030 (6G) promotion group published the “White Paper on 6G Global Vision and Potential Key Technologies”. This article shows that on the basis of 5G high speed, large connection, low latency and high reliability, 6G brings more. This is the new trend of immersion, intelligence, globalization, etc.

According to the latest data, the total number of China Mobile customers has reached 967 million. The carrier has a net increase of 202,000 this month and a cumulative net increase of 9.706 million this year. The cumulative number of 5G plan users is now 495 million.
