After a valiant, but ultimately futile, effort to eliminate the defending champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 of the season, the Dallas Cowboys will be looking to bounce back in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers. No NFL team wants to drop to 0-2 in a young season, but that’s what the Cowboys face as they head west to face the Chargers.
The good news for the Cowboys is that Dak Prescott immediately picked up where he was last season before the injury hit him. Prescott dominated in Week 1 and was abandoned by a squandered special teams unit in what could have been a huge upheaval for the ‘Boys’.
The Cowboys offense is good enough to take on any defense, but can the Cowboys defense stand up to Justin Herbert and the Chargers? And will John Fassel be able to topple special teams before the season starts to deteriorate?
These are some of the questions that will be answered on Sunday.
