Service provider Dial Before You Dig launches its DBYD NextGen benchmark service platform.

In partnership with Esri Australia and Deloitte Consulting, the platform has already processed nearly three million references and exceeded 90,000 users.

DBYD CEO Stuart burdack says the new system provides access to a safer and faster DBYD service.

“DBYD is an essential service that thousands of electrical, telecommunications, gas, water and government construction companies rely on every day to keep the country and workers and the community safe.” , explains Burdack.

DBYD says it has kept abreast of technological trends to ensure the protection of workers and infrastructure.

“The DBYD NextGen reference service extends the value of our existing offering, adopting a technology solution to provide real-time exploration and investigation activity dashboards, provide response wait times and enable map-based searches, ”Burdack explains of the features.

DBYD NextGen was developed on the SmarterWX technology platform, a cloud-based intelligent mapping and collaboration application.

The project was developed by technology specialists from Esri Australia and Deloitte Consulting and includes data contributors from across the country including Geo-landscape, Victoria Department of Environment, Lands, Water and Planning, Queensland Department of Resources, Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment (DPIPWE) and NSW Space Services.

Managing Director of the Esri Australia Group Brett Bundock says the modernization of DBYD’s network is an important step towards Australia’s goal of becoming a leading digital economy and society by 2030.

“What the DBYD service does, in terms of bringing together disparate data sets to enable secure, real-time information sharing between government groups and the business sector, fundamentally models how the national data infrastructure works.” modern space, ”says Bundock.

“As a data network that enables local, state and federal groups to share data and ideas, NSDI will empower Australia to better address challenges that cross jurisdictional boundaries, such as natural disasters and pandemics.

The government has looked for ways to promote large-scale interagency collaborations, he said.

“Fortunately for governments and the country’s space industry, DBYD’s vision to digitally transform one of the country’s most trusted services sets the model for a truly national data-sharing network,” Bundock concludes.

The DBYD NextGen referral service is expected to support over 12 million referral requests this year.
