Ted Wilson: Greetings, friends. Every now and then in our weekly video messages, you have heard me speak of the three angels’ messages recorded in Revelation 14. If ever there was a time in history when we should urgently share the last three messages of God’s love with the world is now. Our world is in crisis. Confusion reigns and people are looking for answers. Delusions lead multitudes astray. Now, as never before, it is time to study the Word of God so that we can share these vital messages of hope and love found in Revelation 14!

Ellen White writes: “In a particular sense Seventh-day Adventists have been established in the world as watchers and bearers of light. They were given the final warning for a dying world. On them shines a marvelous light of the word of God. . They were entrusted with a work of the greatest importance: the proclamation of the messages of the first, second and third angels. There is no other work of such great importance. They should not allow anything else to absorb their attention. solemn truths never entrusted to mortals have been given to us to proclaim to the world. The proclamation of these truths must be our work ”(Testimonies for the Church, vol. 9, p. 19).

Nancy wilson: As Seventh-day Adventists, we may have heard of the messages of the three angels for a long time, and yet, do we really know these messages? Can we explain them clearly to someone else? Have the beauty and relevance of these angelic messages touched our lives in such a way that we are compelled to share them with others? If not, maybe we need to see these special messages with new eyes.

TW: If you wish to understand personally and more deeply these vital life-saving messages, and feel a desperate need for the Holy Spirit so that you can share the good news with others, Nancy and I invite you to join our family of churches. World for a Special Day of Prayer and Fasting on Sabbath October 2.

The theme for the day is “Sharing the Last Three Messages of Love as We Pray for Justice by Faith”. Many useful materials focused on the messages of the three angels have been prepared by the Revival and Reform Committee of the General Conference to help young and old to understand and apply these vitally important messages today. I encourage you to download these very useful documents from revivalandreformation.org.

NO: On this special day of prayer and fasting, we will pray to understand biblical truth in a new way, to increase faith in difficult times, and to acquire the power of the Holy Spirit to witness and share the truth of God. God in a loving and seductive way.

You may be wondering why this day of prayer also includes fasting. It is important to recognize that we do not gain God’s love or salvation by fasting; on the contrary, we fast because we are serious for his blessing. When we read the Bible, we see that fasting is not an option. It is obvious to Christians.

TW: In Matthew 6:17 and 18 we read: “But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to fasting men, but to your Father who is in the secret place. ; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. “

Note that the text does not say “IF you are fasting”, but rather “WHEN you are fasting”. If we study all the fasts in the Bible, we find that whenever God’s people pray and fast, God is working mightily on their behalf – from deliverance from enemies in battle to supernatural deliverance from prison to the outpouring of Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This pattern has been repeated throughout Christian history. Fasting has always been a part of the believer’s way of life, as has prayer and Bible study. In fact, it’s interesting that every major figure in the Bible fasted.

NO: We are told, “Now and until the end of time, God’s people should be more serious, more awake, not trusting their own wisdom, but the wisdom of their Head. They should set aside days for Fasting and Total abstinence from food may not be required, but they should eat the simplest food sparingly “(Counsels on Diet and Foods, pp. 188, 189).

Fasting is more than skipping meals – it is choosing to do without something in order to pray more intentionally and with more focus on heart and soul. Many choose to skip meals, but not everyone can go without food completely, and not everyone chooses this type of fast. Its good. We encourage you to pray and ask God what type of fast He wants you to do.

You can choose to eat more simply, or you can choose to fast from social media, television, or other time-consuming habits. Whatever you do, it’s important to remember that fasting is not about earning a heavenly reward. The main point of fasting is to eliminate distractions so that we can wholeheartedly seek Jesus.

TW: We invite you to be part of this special day! Whether you choose to fast or not, we believe that God has a special blessing in store for you. Jesus invites his disciples to pray together. In Matthew 18:19 and 20, we hear his words today: “I tell you again that if two of you agree on earth concerning whatever you ask for, it will be done for them by my Heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them. “

Friends, the Lord’s Day is fast approaching. Now is the time to share God’s final messages of hope and salvation! We must not delay. Don’t miss the store of blessings God has for you as we come together to fast and pray.

Once again, I encourage you to download the very useful documents for this special day at: revivalandreformation.org.

May the Lord bless you as we come to him in prayer right now. Heavenly Father, please be with every church member, every spectator, for they understand the need to focus on your word, try to clear up distractions, and focus on the real truth. So Lord, guide our spirits, bless us on this very special day of fasting and prayer. And Lord, help us understand our true mission as we come to the end of time, recognizing that Jesus is coming very soon. Thank you for hearing us in this prayer, in the name of Jesus we ask, amen.
