Jakarta, Indonesia, June 28, 2022 /CNW/ — A Global Education Initiative EdHero has just announced the launch of its Indonesian hub. The corresponding “Cooperation Memorandum” was solemnly signed at a private event for education innovators and experts, the June 17 2022 at the Ritz Carlton Pacific Place, Jakarta. The main partner of Indonesia is Pijar Foundationa non-profit organization that catalyzes future initiatives through “collaborative governance” – a coalition of the public, private and community sectors.

The launch was attended by King of Surakarta GPH Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo, KGPAA Mangkunegara Xas well as representatives of the Ministry of Public Enterprises of the Republic of IndonesiaPuteri Indonesia Foundation, Kisah Kasih Organization and more.

EdHeroes Advisory Board Members Oussama ObeidatCEO of Queen Rania Teacher Academy, and Shaun Conwayfounder and president of the iXO Foundationsigned the memorandum and stressed the importance of institutionalizing EdHeroes in Indonesia Hub because there would be a lot of events with positive effects on education in the coming years in the country.

EdHeroes is a global educational initiative, driven by the mission to unite, support and inspire families around the world by providing access to quality education. The EdHeroes network already brings together more than 63,000 supporters and regularly organizes global and regional events. During the launch of EdHeroes Indonesian Hub, the Pijar Foundation also announced the Global Future Talent Alliance initiative.

The Global Future Talent Alliance (GFTA) is a collaborative resource-sharing ecosystem whose mission is to reform education for our next generation. To this end, GFTA will connect education innovators, philanthropic organizations and other organizations willing to test and scale initiatives to close the global talent gap. The GFTA’s resource-sharing mechanism enables innovative and experimental educational initiatives to find the necessary financial resources and learn from best practices around the world.

“The global skills gap is a critical issue for our current and future generations. We invite all education reformers to join this alliance and break down barriers together,” said Cazadira Fediva Tamzil, responsible for the GFTA by the Pijar Foundation. In its first year, GFTA aspires to support 25 initiatives worldwide.

EdHeroes and the Pijar Foundation recently met with education innovators through Indonesia, including Princess Mangkubumi, a member of Yogyakarta’s royal family, well known as a youth movement and education activist. They are also participating in the 2022 Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) conference at bali, from Asia the largest social investment gathering seeking to direct capital to impact.
