Women’s Public Leadership Network Partners with Snapchat for New In-App Effort to Activate Gen Z and Millennials to Run for Election

ATLANTA, October 5, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Today, the Women’s Public Leadership Network (WPLN) and nine other candidate recruiting organizations partnered with Snapchat to provide a native-to-mobile tool to help young people run for office.

The Women’s Public Leadership Network educates, organizes, and inspires center and right-wing women to seek public office at all levels in the United States and to become effective leaders once they are there.

WPLN is excited to partner with Snapchat to empower the next generation of young leaders on their political journeys.

Despite historic levels of youth civic engagement in recent elections, Gen-Zs and Millennials remain under-represented in local, state, and federal governments. Given the 90% reach of Snapchat among 13-24 year olds in United States, WPLN is honored to partner with Snapchat as the inaugural partner of its in-app Run for Office program to help more young people seek public office and appointments with resources and online training programs to help normalize the conversation around office running among this next generation.
